The other day, I came across a joke that made me chuckle—and reflect. It goes like this: A man sees a sign advertising a talking dog for sale. Naturally, he's curious, so he knocks on the door, and the owner directs him to the backyard. There, the dog casually confirms his ability to talk and shares an impressive tale: He was once a secret agent, working for the CIA and gathering intel from world leaders. After years of this exciting life, the dog retired to live peacefully.
The man, completely stunned, asks the owner how much he wants for the dog. To his surprise, the owner says, "Ten dollars."
"Ten dollars? Why so cheap?" the man asks.
The owner replies, "He's a liar. He never worked for the CIA."
This joke is a hilarious reminder that even the most extraordinary claims need a little scrutiny. While we may laugh at the absurdity of the talking dog, it also teaches us a valuable lesson: don’t believe everything you hear—especially from a talking dog!
