The Forgetful Husband

A man and his wife were getting ready for a fancy dinner. As they prepared, the wife said, "Honey, I want you to really listen this time. I need you to go to the store and get me a bottle of milk, a loaf of bread, and if they have eggs, get a dozen."

The husband nodded and left. After about an hour, he returned with 12 bottles of milk.
The wife stared at him in disbelief and asked, “Why did you buy so much milk?”
The husband replied, “Because they had eggs.”
